The Heinemann Shakespeare editions of Shakespeare's plays began in 1993. We worked initially with the Royal Society of Arts Shakespeare in Schools project in Leicestershire to produce editions of popular Shakespeare plays that were accessible, lively and imaginative. A total of nine titles have been produced so far:
- Henry V
- Julius Caesar
- Macbeth
- The Merchant of Venice
- A Midsummer Night's Dream
- Much Ado About Nothing
- Romeo and Juliet
- The Tempest
- Twelfth Night
These editions combine glossing that is thorough and easy to understand with an array of imaginative activities for solo, pair and group work, devised by experienced classroom teachers.
